On a regional basis, Ehrlich’s predictions about food supplies being insufficient to support local populations have become a modern day reality. Globally, 1 in 10 people go to bed hungry each night and 3 billion cannot afford, or don’t have access to, a nutritious diet. Should Ehrlich be given more credit for his findings and predictions?

Ehrlich’s basic premise was quite right and may yet prove to be accurate when demand for food finally outstrips our ability to produce it.

I tried to get a copy of this book a few years ago, but it’s quite hard to find. Copies are expensive.
I think Ehrlich does deserve more recognition. I don’t believe he was ever being sensationalist or trying to scaremonger, just highlighting where the world was heading if population is allowed to grow and grow (which it has).

I attended a talk by him about 10 years ago and was very interesting man everything he said resonated. No preaching or grandstanding or Donald Trump style performances, just very clever presentation of facts.
A very clever man in my opinion.
