If Russia’s war against Ukraine has highlighted anything (apart from how terrible this is for the Ukraine people), it’s how dangerously reliant some countries are on Russia’s oil and gas supplies. There are too many people still using too much fossil fuel energy.

All countries need to be switching to renewable energy sources NOW. Incredibly, many countries are now talking about stepping up oil and gas production in order to be less reliant on Russia, when they should be putting that investment into wind and solar.

Some countries are proposing to start or re-start fracking. And the UK is planning to increase the output of nuclear power plants.
