8 Billion People

Most reports seem to indicate that we will surpass 8 billion people before the end of this year, which is both staggering and frightening. Some very interesting statistics on the Overpopulation Facts page on this site. An additional 1 billion people in just the last 11 years. Even if growth does slow slightly, it’s still more than out planet can support.
