GuestI’ve had my 2014 Giulietta for a couple of years now and it’s been pretty reliable, but this morning it barely cranked and then just clicked, so I’m pretty sure the battery is done. The thing is, I’ve heard that Alfas can be sensitive to battery changes and that you need to code the new one or else the start stop system and other electronics act up. I was looking at alzaabiautocare.com/alfa-romeo/alfa-romeo-battery-replacement and they mention registering the battery to the car’s computer, which sounds like what I need. Has anyone here replaced their own battery on a Giulietta or a Giulia and had issues with warning lights afterwards? I don’t want to pay dealer prices for a simple swap, but also don’t want to end up with a car that thinks the battery is still dying. Any advice on whether I need a genuine Alfa battery or if a good quality AGM from a parts shop is fine?
